Selecting the right BI and Reporting toolset(s) can be a daunting task for many organisations. Looking beyond the hype and understanding the real power and capabilities that are available to meet your current business requirements is not a trivial task.

Additional factors such as phased replacement of existing toolsets, quality and cost of training, availability of skills in the marketplace, complexity of licensing also need to be taken into consideration.  In some cases, a set of best of breed tools will be appropriate - in others a fully integrated suite of tools will be appropriate.
